The Show MUST go on... Safely

The Covid-19 pandemic brought the world to a halt this year. Film and television production were not immune from the virus. But film and television have brought relief as we shelter in place binging everything from classic films on the Criterion Channel to the antics of reality television stars on Bravo and TLC.

In 2019 more television shows were produced than ever before. The estimate I heard was well over 500 shows across the world. That's a lot of content. That's a lot of production.

Everybody is trying to figure out how film and television production can resume in the shadow of the Covid-19 Pandemic. For major studios the process will be easier because they have endless resources to throw at the challenge. Independent producers do not. 3rd Shift Media and New South Independent have collaborated to create a framework for independent productions to use as a guide to resume production. They consulted experts across the Industry as well as those in health and safety to create a dynamic plan that addresses everything from safety to morale on set. I was honored to advise them on certain aspects of the Covid19 Independent Film Production Plan.

I am grateful to be able to make the available to those who may be interested. Please let me know if I can introduce you to the team that developed it.
